The Excalibur Group is currently seeking a Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC to support a Federal Contract.

**Must be a U.S. Citizen, possess good-excellent credit, able to obtain a DOJ MBI Clearance and will be subject to a background/credit screen prior to employment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: minimum of 1 year of a Paralegal Certificate.
  • Minimum one year of litigation support experience and Trial experience very helpful
  • Automated litigation support valued
  • Requires sound working knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
  • Role also requires hands-on familiarity with Client tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform WALES Check on Witnesses
  • Order Grand Jury/ Court Transcripts- save information in Litigation Services portal
  • CANS/E-CANS Officers
  • Creates subpoenas/Mail out subpoenas for civilian witnesses
  • Request for Evidence Report and Photos
  • Provide Witness vouchers
  • File Motions with the Judge's Chambers.
  • Completes court runs/Request property
  • Closes out files (closed files)/Complete administrative, legal assistant and paralegal tasks
COMPENSATION
$21.36/hr.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Mon. – Fri. 8:30am – 5pm
Except Federal Holidays
