The Excalibur Group is seeking a Senior Military Analyst with strong technical writing capabilities, familiar with preparing military documents to support a federal contract at Joint Base Langley Eustis, VA.

SUMMARY

Seeking military expert with extensive knowledge and experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles. Leads the application of analytic techniques and helps define project objectives and strategic direction. Responsible for providing leadership and vision to client and project teams around the methodology.
Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) develops concepts and capabilities, evaluates proposed Army modernization solutions, and integrates these capabilities across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF). The Science, Technology, Research, and Accelerated Capabilities Division (STRACD), within the Concept Development and Learning Directorate (CDLD), addresses the Army's accelerated requirements and development efforts.
Defense System Military Analyst expertise is essential to the conduct of Task Mission Support, Focused Assessments, Joint Warfighting Assessments, Rapid Acquisition initiatives, and Special Requirements. Defense System Military Analyst expertise provides the STRACD with defendable analyses of capabilities or capability-related problem sets, generating the detailed data and supporting requirements that become the foundation for follow-on decisions or other studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct a review and assessment of final reports for five venues (Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment – AEWE; Maneuver and Fires Integration Experiment – MFIX; Maneuver Support Sustainment Protection Integration Experiment – MSSPIX and Cyberspace Operations, Electronic Warfare, Signal Prototyping Experiment – Cyber Quest).
  • Analyze current Army priorities based on these reports; draft summary of the most important findings for review by the STRACD Prototype Assessment Team (PAT) government representative.
  • Track and consolidate the PAT bi-weekly executive summaries ensuring they are in the proper format, correct grammar, and meet the time line requirements.
  • Represent STRACD at multiple forums and prepare reports for the Deputy, Accelerated Capabilities Branch (ACB), as well as the Chief, ACB, for review and approval as EXSUMS to the Executive Officer, STRACD.
  • Prepare historical reports for the PAT team bi-annually.
  • Prepare a draft of input of Army Live Prototype venue reports for inclusion into the FY Force 2025 Maneuvers (F2025M) Annual Report.
  • Prepare any required read-a-heads, both paper and electronic, required to support the Army Live Prototype Assessment (ALPA) meetings hosted by ARCIC STRACD PAT.
  • Coordinate for required conference rooms for designated PAT meetings.
  • Take notes of record for the ALPA Planning Working Group (PWG).
  • Review all products requested by the government representatives in STRACD PAT.
  • Review materials from the STRACD Science and Technology team providing both grammatical and doctrinal feedback to their team.
  • Conduct analyses/studies for Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) policies, procedures, and guides for the organization.
  • Recommend and review plans of action and milestones (POAM) for the execution of projects for the organization.
  • Provide representation at meetings such as Initial Planning and Working Groups (IPWGs), synchronization committees, and concept review boards.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's
    • Preferred Masters or graduate from an Army/military College.
  • Extensive knowledge of drafting, editing, and preparing Army documents as defined in AR 25-50, DAP 600-67.
  • Knowledge and experience assisting in the preparation of Army professional briefs.
  • Willing to travel and represent STRACD at four Planning Working Groups a year.
  • Experience in combat operations at the tactical and operational level against competitive and adaptive threats in Army future warfighting experiments.
