DC Case Manager

 The Excalibur Group is currently seeking Case Managers to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Preferred in Social Work, Education, Social Services, Counseling, Psychology or Sociology.
  • Minimum five years providing Workforce development related case management services.
  • Must have a professional certification in the industry. CSWE preferred.
  • Experience developing, evaluating and implementing case management plans.
  • Ability to identify and communicate with community resources and service.
  • Must be able to produce written reports and forms and actively document all interactions into a database.
  • Must be able to listen intently and provide coaching.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Possess a strong desire to help people.
     
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The case manager is responsible for maintaining and managing a high volume case-load of job-seekers. The case manager will provide career coaching and continual assessment of each customer in the pursuit of removing barriers that limit job and career opportunities. Case Managers are responsible for identifying barriers and using community resources along with internal resources to mitigate barriers job seekers face. Case managers will need to possess the ability to engage community resources to help eliminate barriers and or build job seekers competitiveness in the job market. Case Mangers will guide and assist job seekers in their job search and build a strategy for securing sustainable employment. Case files and case plans will need to be updated into the database on a regular basis and must document all interactions with job seekers. Preference will be given to all qualified applicants who live in a federally certified HUBZone.
