Position Summary
The Sales Supervisor provides leadership, project management and supervision of the Inside Sales function. The incumbent's primary mission is to meet or exceed revenue targets for the business, as well as assist executive management and others in making decisions about the company's business. The incumbent manages the day-to­day inside sales activities, as more fully described below. A key focus will be the development of tactical plans to ensure business activities are focused on continuous improvement and achievement.
General Duties
  • Promote safe work practices and demonstrate a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies and regulations
  • Assist in preparing sales budget and revenue forecasts
  • Determine price schedules and discount rates
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery on orders
  • Advise the Credit department as to credit, payments and collection
  • Propose strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets
  • Identify prospective customers and see that leads are pursued
  • Develop and implement initiatives, strategies and programs to capture new sales
  • Provide support for sales associates as they generate opportunities and close orders
  • Meet with customers to discuss their individual needs and to assess the quality of ESPI's partnership
  • Communicate VOC data to Operations and Executive management
  • Monitor and evaluate customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Monitor sales and service across all sales channels (OEM, Distribution, Inc.)
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports as requested or necessary to analyze business activities
  • Compile regular and ad hoc reporting of inside and field sales success
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability
  • Maintain and comply with internal controls over business transactions
  • Assist in the monitoring of policies and goals to guide Sales in achieving desired objectives
  • Positively contribute to team efforts
  • Provide leadership in the face of adverse conditions or unusual situations
  • Perform customary management responsibilities, including goal setting, planning, directing, training and evaluation
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team, recognize achievement and coach team members for improved performance
  • Develop Continuous Improvement principles skill
  • Follow QMS and related procedures
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related technical field
  • Four years Sales Manufacturing experience
  • Two years supervisory experience, preferred
  • ERP experience required, Syteline experience a plus.
