Inventory Management (IM) Solutions Developer

 The IM developer will assist the team in developing a scalable solution for inventory management of perishables product within supply chain. This will include ordering logic to move product from our distribution centers to stores and order logic for vendor orders into DCs. 
The role will work closely with the business process lead who will provide the logic and mathematical equations for the ordering solution to follow and broker the integration with back-end data environment which will be supported by internal database engineers. 
The developer will lead the coding of the business process logic into a Python based application that will integrate with databases (i.e. Teradata) for input/output data operations. 

• Lead the development of inventory management logic within a Python-based application
• Work closely with business process lead to incorporate desired business logic into application functionality
• Develop exception management reporting based on defined business rules
• Support the design of a scalable application architecture to support implementation to chain
• Work with database engineering team to develop data integrations and optimal solution architecture for processing seed / capacity
• Organize and document structured code-base that can be effectively interpreted by future development team members

BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Inventory Management, Operations or other related field preferred.

• Proficient in Python development language
• Experience with scalable Software design concepts
• Proficiency in SQL
• General familiarity with Inventory Management principles
• Understanding of advanced statistics and mathematics (e.g. matrix operations) strongly preferred
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Development best practices is a plus
