  • 3+ yrs relevant experience in performance testing
  • Strong working experience with UNIX.
  • Knowledge of SOAP/XML, and Web Services
  • Knowledge of Client LoadRunner Performance Testing Tool
  • Experience with performance engineering in a complex environment
  • Working experience with application servers (preferably Weblogic), webservers, and mainstream databases (Oracle, DB2, etc.) is an asset
  • Strong understanding of systems performance
  • Sound knowledge of available performance and capacity monitoring tools  
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills... must have expertise in troubleshooting environment related issues
    Technical Troubleshooting--Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.  
  • Managing Multiple Priorities--Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities. Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Direct and Manage performance and operability testing activities for various projects
  • Work with the Application Development teams and clients to identify resolution of testing and / or environmental variances.  Escalate to manager where necessary.
  • Create Performance and Operability test strategy and test plans including detailed test case descriptions and acceptance criteria
    Identify and explain architecture, design, and implementation alternatives that meet performance requirements.
  • Conduct application profiling to accurately predict performance and scalability of new systems at early development stages
  • Assist with the design and development of test tools
  • Review & Analyze test results as they become available
  • Compile and submit for approval Performance and Operability results review and recommendation for the given initiative
Generate performance reports on selected systems and applications
