Position: Technical Architect/ Scrum Master
Location: Richmond VA
Duration: Long term Contract
Need Scrum Master who is from development (.NET) background and be able to participate in Technical & Architecture discussions

Position Responsibilities:

. Serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to predictably deliver high quality value to customers
2. Experience with User Story review, splitting, and sizing
3. Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values while also meeting delivery commitment
4. Guiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team
5. Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
6. Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
7. Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
8. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
9. Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
10. Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog

Required Skills

1. Experience being the Scrum Master for at least 4-5 years for a Scrum team
2. Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed)
3. Experience with assisting a historically waterfall team and organization with adopting Scrum
4. Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
5. Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs)
6. Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

Desired Skills

1. Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks such as the Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe)
2. Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space such as XP & Kanban
3. Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
4. Previous experience as a collaborative leader
5. Excellent communication and mentoring skills
