JOB Description

Role Description:

Participate in the creation and maintenance of development, test and production environments with a goal of high availability, fault-tolerance and scalability.
Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing continuous integration and deployment of code to our cloud hosted environments to accelerate development and reduce manual effort.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:

3 years of demonstrated experience in designing and developing complex distributed IT solutions (e.g. cloud, distributed systems or high-performance computing experience)
2 years' experience designing and building web application environments on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, etc.
2 years' Ability to create and utilize AWS Cloud Formation templates to automate creation of AWS images
2 years' experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, Ansible, Puppet, Artifactory, or SonarQube in a cloud environment, or 2 years' experience in developing scripts and scripting languages (PowerShell or Bash)
2 years' experience with Linux or Windows Server system administration
1 year experience with installing and configuring application servers such as Weblogic, JBoss and Tomcat

Preferred Skills: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate preferred

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred
Plan for Integration

Infrastructure Architects must create detailed plans for the integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure. This includes logistical plans for the Operations areas to actually conduct the physical integrations, during which the Infrastructure Architect provides technical direction and support.

Evaluate Projects

After a new system has been integrated, the Infrastructure Architect participates in evaluating the success of the project, identifying best practices and lessons learned. They provide feedback to leadership and incorporate this information into future integration plans.
