 Senior Project Manager – L6 (Independent Contractor)

Role Summary
This position is part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) reporting to the Director, ePMO. The ePMO provides project management services and portfolio reporting for a wide range of internal IT and business projects within PwC Canada.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading IT/business enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic and business transformational initiatives.

Examples of these strategic and complex projects include launching a new product or service, large scale application development/deployment, business process outsourcing, operational efficiency improvements, business unit process reengineering and complex infrastructure upgrade and deployments.  

Responsibilities
1.        Accountable to define, plan, orchestrate and deliver on strategic initiatives
2.        Lead project stakeholders such as sponsors, vendors, outsourcers/offshore resources (where applicable) and project team members to accomplish project objectives
3.        Manage scope to ensure that the solution implemented fully meets the requirements, costs, time, quality and quantifiable business benefit expectations of the sponsor
4.        Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, staffing resource plan, contingency plan and other project management artifacts. Tracks project expenses and validates financial forecasts
5.        Reports on the project and develops project status communications to management and firm leadership


Qualifications
Education/Experience
·        8+ years demonstrated experience establishing and delivering complex information technology/business projects in a service based industry
·        Solid experience in establishing and leading enterprise wide and business transformational projects and programs
·        Ability and confidence to communicate at all levels of the organization with clarity and precision
·        Experience in organizational change management practices and processes that address an organization's change readiness
·        Proven experience using agile/lean best practices
·        Proven negotiation and influencing skills experience
·        Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; comfortable to work with limited information and high level of ambiguity
