 General Description:
Dev Ops Engineer with broad experience and passion for figuring out how all the pieces are put together in a build environment, aiming for a high level of automation and capable of integrating and/or authoring tools to reliably manage application delivery.
The engineer should be eager to grow skills, learn new technology and tackle interesting and challenging problems on a heterogeneous environment.
Team player motivated to work with lead engineers and architects on understanding application design and deployment to meet high availability, integrity and reliability requirements.
Required Skills
  • Advanced English skills, must have fluent written skills and advanced conversation skills
  • 4+ years of Software Development experience
  • 2+ years of Dev Ops experience
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology best practices and strong focus of quality delivery
  • Concrete experience in implementing CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) pipelines
  • Experience with code repository / Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (like Microsoft TFS and Git) and about the options to interact to it programmatically
  • Strong knowledge of application build and deployment tools (similar to Octopus and Jenkins) and how to integrate them with other tools and / or extend their capabilities
  • Large experience with scripting and automated process management with scripting, such as Linux Bash scripting, Windows scripting (BAT/CMD scripts, Power Shell scripts) and Python
  • General understanding of networking (i.e. load balancing, firewalls) and different storage solutions (i.e. NAS/SAN/local) and security concepts related to encryption/decryption and SSL/TLS
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts such as IaaS, SaaS, PaaS
  • Some exposure to containerization (like Kubernetes, Docker)  concepts, with some practical experiences with public or private clouds such as Cloud Foundry
  • Familiarity with configuration/provisioning tools like Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Salt, or Ansible in production environments with many nodes.
Desired Skills
  • Strong background in Java or .NET technology
    • .NET: desired experience with .NET 4.0+ C#, .NET Core
    • Java: desired experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
  • Familiarity with system integration related technology such as Web Service standards (SOAP, WSDL), REST services, message queue tools (such as JMS and RabbitMQ) and XML structure and JSON format
  • Understanding of relational/SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred) and understanding of no-SQL databases (like MongoDB), capable of understanding queries and schema structure
  • Good communication skills to work with and potentially mentor co-workers, architects, technical leaders and software engineers
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and globally distributed teams
  • Exposure to the financial services industry
