Job Details: Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Operations Manager plans and directs the establishment and ongoing administration of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to support short- and long-range Human Resources goals. The HR Operations Manager will drive the successful delivery of HRIS (Workday) and supporting business processes using service Now, contributing as a subject matter expert to the development and execution of a strategy for operational excellence within the HR function. This includes the specification, development and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports and policies and procedures for internal use. The HR Operations Manager will be a strategic partner consulting with human resource functional leaders, information technology business partners and business leaders to identify appropriate human capital metrics and enhancement opportunities, create and enhance governance, execute technology projects and identify and implement reporting to meet department and company objectives. Responsibilities will also include project planning and administration, scoping, determining and documenting business requirements, creating functional specifications, developing, executing test plans and scripts, streamlining and improving current processes, and ensuring resolution of end user and business partner HR technology issues. The HR Operations Manager will have strategic consultancy skills with proven leadership, analytical, project management and relationship building skills. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership regarding HRIS (Workday), as well as other HR systems and tools, supporting processes and reporting.
• Ability to perform gap analysis when migrating from Peoplesoft to Workday .
• Ability to help in defining the best practices in setting up global shared services for HR .
• Ability to identify the cases for automation and increase efficiencies .
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR technologies and reporting for human resource partners, end users, IT teams and third parties; collaborate with all to effectively prioritize and execute human resources technology needs, including the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance. • Act as a liaison between human resources, business partners, and IT. Build and manage stakeholder relationships with the ability to keep stakeholders engaged, responsible and proactive in working toward deliverable goals and objectives. • Lead and advise human resource and business partners in assessing technology needs, developing and documenting business requirements and functional specifications, developing test conditions, conducting acceptance testing and implementing solutions. Contribute to change management and training efforts. • Lead and advise business partners in the development and implementation of technology and data governance models to ensure the highest degree of data integrity and business controls for human resources and dependent systems; establish data tables, structures, files, interface requirements and data integrity protocols for ongoing administration. • Act as project manager for assigned HR technology or process projects, including managing project team activities, tasks, deliverables and timelines. • Recommend plans for continued process improvements, system enhancements and new applications to support business strategies and operational needs. • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries. Develop and optimize standard reports for ongoing customer needs. • Data entry/Configuration/Setup of business data. • Design and maintenance of application (Workday) security. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions. • Experience supporting Workday HCM, Compensation and Benefits , Recruiting, Time Tracking and Talent modules is required. • Experience supporting Talentlink / Corner stone Learning Management is preferred. • Project Management experience. • Understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), including proven experience in implementing HR software applications. • Experience in updating/maintaining business processes and condition rules. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment. • Excellent communication skills necessary in determining requirements for internal customers. • Ability to work in a confidential environment and exceptional attention to detail. Technical Skills: • Strong working knowledge of HR systems (Workday) as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Access. • Strong technical and analytic skills that include the ability to extract data from multiple sources to create and modify complex reporting required. Education and/or Experience: • 5 - 10 years of hands-on IT, Business Analyst, Data Analytics experience with HR software applications / HR Information systems. • BS degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. • Knowledge of HR functions and business processes (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Organizational Development, etc.)
