 Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Applications Administrator with at least 7 years of experience in the field.  In this role, you will:
•             Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise
•             Recommend best-practice solutions for the given technologies
•             Establish and monitor KPIs for Application platforms
•             Evaluate application architecture and make recommendations to support continuous improvement
•             Become a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
•             Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
•             Maintain technical documentation that supports various systems and processes
•             Troubleshoot complex functional and technical incidents occurring across multiple platforms
•             Provide on-call and after-hours support for production environments on a rotation basis
•             7+ years of experience in IT
•             Prior experience working with following required: J2EE platforms, preferred WebLogic.
•             Knowledge of best practices around cloud as well as on-prem Application platforms, experience with WebLogic implementations desired
(Architecture, Security Best Practices, Integrations, Automation)
•             Prior experience with both public and private cloud preferred to include platforms such as Oracle Cloud, Cloud Foundry, Amazon, Azure are a plus.
•             Strong Linux skill set with demonstrated knowledge of the operating system commands
•             Experience with Oracle Databases
•             Development background and skillset a plus
•             Prior knowledge of load balancing technology and concepts (specific experience with F5 preferred)
•             Proven problem-solving, change management and technical planning skills
•             Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
