OVERVIEW
Acting as the primary point of communication between the customer and the project team, the Program/Project Manager will lead the multiple teams during the project lifecycle – from Statement of Work development, to estimation, and through the delivery of a project. The successful candidate will work with utility clients – specifically in the Telecom space - holding responsibility over managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, and meeting financial targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to plan, develop, control, and direct the projects, while ensuring on-time delivery of products to clients
  • Work across functions to meet key delivery dates and supply the highest quality business solutions to meet clients' business needs with a target profit
  • Coordinate ongoing analyses of projects and development activities to identify opportunities in cost saving, quality improvement, and process improvement
  • Plan programs with multiple technical components, track budgets and timelines, and prepare/ present status reports to both client and internal management
  • Identify required resources and manage changes in project scope and team staffing
  • Utilize business process management (BPM) and system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies to help clients address business challenges
  • Provide technical direction and serve as the point of contact for business process reengineering and technology solutions
  • Monitor and control quality of project deliverables
  • Develop and present final project report to client
  • Based on clients' needs, conduct formal and informal classroom training, workshops, conferences, and seminars
  • Support company sales by presenting new business solutions and services to existing customers and developing strategies to target potential new customers

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in program/project management within the utility industry
  • Ability to manage projects and lead teams through planning and organization, decision making, problem-solving, delegating work, and developing employees
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong facilitator, change agent, and communicator.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present to groups and run meetings made up of different teams and varying sizes
  • Aptitude to process communication styles of clients, team members, and other stakeholders who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and levels of experience
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite software (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Minimum 3-years experience with BMC Remedy and/or ServiceNow
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes within IT Service Management (ITSM)


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in business process management (BPM) and/or system development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with large scale tool implementations
  • Project Management Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar technical area.
  • Master's degree preferred.
