Essential Functions of the Job:

In the role of Project Manager, you will plan for and ensure quality and timeliness of activities related to design, build and implementation of work product. You will participate in requirements elicitation, analysis of architecture, create and review design and contribute to activities related to estimation, staffing analysis & solution and risk planning. You will act as a mentor and support the project team in developing optimized high quality deliverables. Location for this position is Sunnyvale, CA. This position may require 0% travel

Qualifications
Basic
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least of 7 years of experience with Information Technology

Preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience with significant depth in designing and programming using Java/J2EE Technologies.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot / Spring Data JPA / Spring Cloud/ Play, JDBC, Web Services (REST), Hibernate/JPA, and Oracle.
  • Diverse experience in managing project and teams (includes various projects like development, maintenance, support projects, and assessments etc.).
  • Excellent Core Java Skills and understanding of MVC frameworks (spring, Spring Boot).
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced programming constructs likes multi-threading, memory management etc.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Design and architecture review.
  • Experience in usage of Design Patterns and understanding of Software Development Constructs.
  • Exposure to develop highly distributed, scalable and performing systems is a strong plus.
  • Should be able to provide estimates and help in technical planning and work break down.
  • Comfortable working with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience in working with build tools like Maven, ANT and CI platforms like Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of estimation and scheduling techniques.

Area of Responsibility:
  • Collaborate with product owner, business stakeholders, and delivery team to understand business needs and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize technical acumen to provide design alternatives and support team in technical issue resolution and performance tuning activities.
  • Manage estimation, prepare staffing analysis, and build detailed project plan.
  • Track and communicate team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to the plan and published progress reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, including client communications and escalation resolutions.
  • Maintains dependency plan between planned sprints across engineering, infrastructure, and third parties.
  • Create and review requirements, design, code and test plans with hands-on involvement to determine effectiveness within project specifications.
  • Identify automation opportunities and lead implementation activities.
  • Perform basic Architecture, Development, Testing, Implementation and Release activities in accordance with project requirements.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
