Distribution Project Manager

Our team has an immediate opening for an experienced distribution project engineer to serve as a distribution project manager in Chino, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple teams in the conceptual, preliminary, and final analysis and design of Distribution projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for working with the assigned Project Manager to provide subject matter expertise and strategy development for the assigned project
  • Ensure project plans are developed for assigned projects and integrated into the project scope, schedule, and budget tracking and delivery commitments
    • Design, both in-house and with expert third parties, viable solutions
    • Ensure Work Breakdown Structure tasks are defined
    • Develop, monitor and review the progress on deliverables
    • Business requirements summary document for each assigned project
    • Providing a consultancy service to project managers on project strategy and plan
    • Providing a project plan with defined tasks and timelines that can be integrated into the overall project scope and scheduled deliverables.
    • Developing tools and task to evaluate deliverables
  • Additional responsibilities include developing, maintaining and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and reporting; cost estimating and proposal development; communication and coordination with clients; quality control review of client deliverables; field investigation work; and engineering support for construction

Minimum Requirements:
  • Previous SCE Experience is required for this role.
  • BSCE or BSEE degree
  • 10+ years of experience in distribution project engineering experience in the utility industry (SCE experience preferred)
  • Must have experience with Grid Modernization, Capital, and Standard projects related to new equipment (e.g. Synchronous Condenser, Projects through Modification)
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills are a must
  • Must be proficient in MS Suite
