Roles/Resposibilities:


Job Responsibilities
  • Lead feasibility analysis, select the technologies that provide the best solution and identify the products available that will best fit the solution proposed.
  • Design Data Lake /Data mart solution taking advantage of the existing assets maintaining a balance between architecture requirements and specific client needs.
  • Work with development team to ensure architecture is implemented to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create prototypes, conduct proofs of concepts, evaluate options with pros and cons and provide recommendations.
  • Lead design and solution approaches for the proposals and giving product demos.
  • Build consensus on solution, and work with other senior architects and managers to influence decisions.
  • Assess the business situation by engaging with varied levels and profile of stakeholders.
Essential skills/Qualifications (must to have)
  • Deep understanding of Electric utility industry functions and terms.
  • 5-10 years' experience in implementing Data warehousing solutions in Utility Domain consists of Transmission, Distribution, and AMI and Customer data.
  • Experience in big data and data flow Apache Hadoop based platforms, Cloudera preferred
  • Experience with big data ECP ecosystem tools – to include (Yarn, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, and Solr).
  • Experience with Apache Hadoop streaming real‐time data frameworks – to include (Spark, Kafka, and Storm).
  • Experience in multiple databases – to include (Teradata, Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL).
  • Experience in designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing data transformation processes in Apache Hadoop.
  • Ability to consolidate, validate and cleanse data from a vast range of sources – from applications and databases to files and web services.
  • Capable of extracting data from an existing databases, flat files, Web sources or APIs.
  • Experience designing and implementing fast and efficient data acquisition using Big Data processing techniques and tools.

Skills/Qualifications (Nice to have)
  • Knowledge of IEC-CIM standards
  • Emerging utility trends – Distributed Energy resources
