.Experienced motion graphic designer with the ability to also design digital and print collateral across a variety of channels (including emails, webpage displays, magazine ads, social media posts).
o We need somebody who can create 2-5 minute animated videos that are customer-facing, but those are based on client requests and tend to be irregular and infrequent. The person's much more likely day-to-day work will involve the other channels I mentioned (emails, webpage displays, magazine ads, social media posts). Also, our team is taking on several new clients, which might require additional headcount sometime in the near future. So this candidate should look at this opportunity as a potential "audition” for a full-time opportunity.
An excellent storyteller with a proven track record in illustration, design, video production, editing, and animation.
In-depth knowledge/experience in design, animation, and video production techniques.
Working knowledge of sound mixing and color correction.
Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the latest production technology.
Solid understanding of video and DVD formats and compression techniques.
Able to translate concepts and rough sketches into informational, engaging and interactive videos, motion graphics, and layouts.
Comfortable with all levels of multimedia production, from storyboarding to filming, directing, editing and post-production, and able to deftly manage feedback from multiple stakeholders along the way.
Creative expertise with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, and other associated tools.
Experience with a variety of 3rd party motion graphic plugins.
Knowledge of and proficiency with video cameras, lighting, sound and teleprompter equipment to handle basic video shoots.
Expert knowledge of Adobe CC and basic understanding of Microsoft Office software.
Creative thinker exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques.
Knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, allowing for effective legibility and functionality.
Experience designing desktop, mobile, and UX for financial institution member centers and products.
Proficient in Windows platforms.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills.
Solid understanding of current web/technology/UX trends.
Be prepared to hit the ground running, learn fast, ask questions and assert opinions in a professional and tactful manner.
Knowledge of the financial services and identity protection industries. Knowledge of other highly regulated industries, such as insurance and healthcare, helpful.
Ability to understand the overall goals and vision of a new product launch, while also ensuring product accuracy and brand consistency.
Skilled at developing strong concepts and seeing them through to completion.
Able to collaborate and play well with others, but still get what you need from people.
A minimum of 5 years of related interactive design experience.
You have mastered the art of being organized and have great follow-through on complex, deadline-driven projects with minimal supervision.
You welcome feedback, constructive criticism and opportunities for improvement and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and change direction as needed.
You enjoy solving problems and are naturally curious.
Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Art, Advertising, or related field or at least 8 years of professional experience.
