 Job Description:
Duties: As part of the Product Operations team, the Information Architect will be responsible for ensuring that our customers are able to effectively use and understand Equinix product and service offerings by producing documentation related to our Interconnection, Colocation and Emerging Services product portfolios.  The ideal candidate has experience producing content for Cloud, Network and/or Security providers, as well as API or other developer documentation.  You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry and enjoy a competitive package, great benefits and a creative and agile work environment.
You will bridge the technical and business worlds as you deliver documentation that our customers love.  You have a bias toward hands-on action and can break down complex technical concepts into clear user-friendly documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Structure, develop and deliver high quality, user friendly product documentation for customers
  • Write, review and edit new and existing product documentation to validate for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and overall quality.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and other internal teams to gather and research relevant information to enable successful documentation.
  • Establish a repeatable and efficient process for maintaining and updating documentation on an on-going basis
  • Identify an optimal Authoring Infrastructure inclusive of tools for editing and publishing
  • Perform gap analysis and determine the interim and ultimate documentation approach and go-forward set of materials
Skills:
  • Knowledge of and experience in cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), network and/or security products and services
  • Able to distill complex technical content in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience from producing architecture and API documentation, reference manuals and more
  • Experience from creating contextual and embedded help is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of documentation tools
  • Project management skill set is a plus; setting a timeline and able to deliver quality deliverables on time
  • Able to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly related product documentation experience; must be able to provide work samples
  • Can do attitude, team player
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
