Seeking a skilled IT Storage Specialist to provide support for a large client infrastructure. Qualified candidates will possess experience in being able to analyze and resolve complex technical problems associated with Windows based x86 servers and various storage platforms. The IT Specialist will ensure the stable operation of the environment to include design, planning, monitoring, troubleshooting, implementing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all equipment within the environment.

Required Skills - in order of importance with years of experience needed
• Bachelor's degree in technical / engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• 1 year experience in customer facing roles in IT
• Detailed knowledge of server/storage hardware and configuration principles
• 1 Year of experience with the Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 operating systems
• Deep expertise in enterprise storage architectures (SAN, NAS, DAS, SDS and iSCSI) and storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, and SMB 3.0)
• Demonstrated strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical storage concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level technical decision-makers
• Technical documentation skills required

Preferred Skills - with years of experience needed
• Experience with Microsoft Failover Clustering administration
• IT Operations experience with an enterprise customer
• Hyper-V administration experience
• Virtual Machine Manager experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Scale-Out File Server
• Knowledge of Microsoft Storage Spaces
• Windows Server 2003

Job Duty 1 with % of time – Proactive monitoring of x86 Servers and Storage Devices – 40%

Job Duty 3 with % of time – Hardware and system ticket creation and follow through on tickets through resolution for HW issues – 20%
Job Duty 4 with % of time – Firmware, drivers, BIOS, and Hyper-V Updates 10%
Job Duty 5 with % of time – Installations and Implementations of HW including storage devices, harddrives, controllers, etc. – 05%
