Hands-on experience with all phases of network engineering, Incident Response, Security Engineering, and Intrusion Detection on an operational network 13 years of experience
CCIE, MCSE and other similar industry certifications N/A
GCIH, GSEC, GISP or similar industry certification
·         Perform installation, configuration, tuning, orchestration capacity planning and administration of a Cisco based data communications network and network security devices, including but not limited to ESA, WSA, Stealthwatch, AMP and Firepower
·         Implement network security best practices; develop and maintain Acceptable Use Policy for IP Network, Firewall and Filtering policies
·         Perform configuration, tuning, scripting and orchestration of Microsoft server platforms, including Active Directory
·         Perform analysis and deliver recommendations on network segmentation and architectural improvements
·         Perform analysis on event monitoring of network security solutions to identify gaps, and recommend and implement configuration changes to the SIEM (Splunk and/or FortiSIEM)
·         Ensure existing network infrastructure and configuration standards are adhered to when delivering projects
·         Deploy and document changes in accordance with enterprise project management lifecycle and change management processes
·         Take initiative to proactively identify solutions to potential network issues / embrace network simplification and strengthened security
·         Lead problem management and root cause analysis discussions with fellow network engineers, security engineers and analysts
·         Draft technical requirements, configuration management, and planning documentation
·         Support the Security Impact Analysis (SIA), an analysis that is conducted by the security team to review the extent to which changes to the information system will affect the security state of the system
·         Perform implementation of security and compliance-based use cases based on the NIST 800-53 Rev4 security controls
Education: Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or Science with three to five (3 to 5) years of experience relevant to Solution Implementation Consulting or thirteen (13) years related experience relevant to solution implementation consulting.
