Job Description:
The Basis SolMan Specialist role is to provide expertise and knowledge of BASIS functions and responsibilities related to SAP Solution Manager 7.2 and CHARM.  Production support functions may include upgrades, system/component installation, installation of patches and Support pack stacks, landscape maintenance, transport management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and landscape documentation. The Basis SolMan Specialist will be required to provide technical expertise in support of SAP applications in the overall SAP landscape, primarily for Solution Manager and CHARM. This role requires a thorough understanding of SAP Solution Manager, and the technical architecture necessary to install and configure this SAP application to upgrade and/or apply fixes as necessary.
 
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for production support, including after-hours support in a team environment.
• Responsible for supporting SAP installations, patches, and, backups
• Responsible to help support upgrades, configuration, and maintenance, troubleshooting of the Basis component of the SAP system and associated technologies
• Responsible to provide assistance with troubleshooting
• Environment Migration Support to include moving objects between environments within an SAP landscape
• Performance monitoring of the SAP system
• Responsible for working with members of different teams to address and resolve any issues or problems

Technical Skills:
  Skill
Mandatory • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in SAP BASIS Administration.
• 1 full lifecycle implementations of SAP NW 7 or later.
• Strong experience and knowledge of SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
• Previous design and configuration experience and knowledge of CHARM.
• Working knowledge of HANA, Sybase, and Oracle Database Administration.
• Working knowledge of RHEL 7 and 6 (RedHat Linux), Windows Server 12.
• Must be an effective communicator.
• Must submit to Government background investigation
• Skilled with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Preferred • Experience in Federal government implementations
• Knowledge and experience supporting SAP systems within AWS cloud
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Drive and energy to achieve desired results
• Understanding and managing the customers' expectations
