Project Description:
The mission of DLA's Program Executive Officer (PEO) (J62) is to develop, deliver and sustain war winning Combat Support Information Technology Solutions for the Department of Defense and the Defense Logistics Agency enterprise.  In this role, the PEO
Develops, delivers and sustains war winning Combat Support Information Technology Solutions for the DLA and DoD Enterprises
Acts as the Milestone Decision Authority on assigned programs
Provides centralized program management support, delivers new requirements and sustains operational  capabilities
The PEO is in the process of replacing aging mission-critical legacy business systems with highly integrated and interoperable Defense Business Systems.  It is through these modernization initiatives that the PEO is capitalizing on the efficiencies offered by the Commercial-off-the-shelve software technologies and best industry practices.
As the PEO continues its modernization program, it has begun centralizing the management of many of its emerging business system Information Technology (IT) investments within its organizational structure.  As these modernization initiatives are managed throughout their lifecycles, the PEO requires assistance in its efforts to support the Enterprise Configuration Management objectives of the DLA Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the IT Governance Structure, which will oversee and manage these functions and processes.
