 5 Years Relevant Program Management Experience
5 Years of Leadership Experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public/private sector in IT and/or consulting fields
Experience managing projects involving Program Management Support
Prior experience in working for DLA/DoD
Experience in supporting Quality Assurance, Progress/status reporting, and Program Reviews
Experience in developing Task Order Management Plan describing the technical approach, organizational resources and management controls to be employed to meet the cost, performance and schedule
Prior or recent experience supporting DLA programs, help desk and system administration functions
Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of DLA policies
Experience in projects involving creating Monthly 8570 Reports
Project Background/Scope:
DLA is consolidating responsibility for enterprise information operations under the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Specifically, the CIO is responsible for providing comprehensive information technology support to the DLA Logistic Business Community through efficient and economical automated information systems, data management, electronic business and telecommunication services.
These actions support not only DLA's business operations throughout the Agency, but also the DOD Logistics Community supporting U.S. Forces around the world.
To ensure continuous improvement of logistic support to the U.S. Forces, the CIO established the Program Executive Office (PEO) J62 to establish and implement standardized program management policies and procedures and provide program oversight for emerging systems.
As a result, DLA requires a contractor to provide "DOD experienced” program management support services as part of the J62 System Engineering Support Services.
The DLA Information Operations (J62) Systems Engineering office has been added to invoke discipline in DLA's acquisition process.
Systems Engineering is a standardized, disciplined management process for development of system solutions that provides a structured methodical approach to system development.
Systems Engineering ensures that the correct technical tasks are performed during the development cycle through planning, tracking and coordinating. Responsibilities of the systems engineering include: System Engineering Support and Task Order Project Management Support.
