Job Purpose/Scope: 
This position is responsible for Sr Accounting functions that include management of fixed assets, tracking of Capital projects, monthly MIS reporting, monthly KPI tracking, scorecard maintenance and maintenance of supporting documentation for specific general ledger accounts.
 
Essential Functions:
Reporting:
  • Maintain database of scorecard statistics, update monthly actual and budget data in MIS.
  • Complete monthly work papers and supporting schedules.
  • Update KPI's by department each month.
  • Assist Director of Controlling with monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Support requirements for annual Audit of capital projects, inventory price testing and related audit support analysis.
 
Fixed Assets:
  • Enter new fixed assets into Sage FAS and BAAN. 
  • Verify/check the fixed asset accounts to ensure invoices were entered properly
  • Update CIP (Construction in Progress) reports. 
  • Create all ACE assignment numbers in BAAN.
  • Run monthly depreciation reports. Complete monthly depreciation journal entry.
  • File backup for each asset disposal and transfer assets as needed.
 
Assist Controlling as necessary:
  • Develop & Maintain BAAN Generated Financial Reports.
  • Set up Departments, Stat Groups and Mappings in BAAN.
  • Assist with year-end audit.
  • Assist Plant management and other departments.
  • Develop and implement ERGO projects.
 
Supervision Received and Given: 
  • Reports to the Director of Controlling
 
Educational Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 
 
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proficient user of Power Point and Excel.  Knowledge of ERP systems (BAAN)
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Able to take initiative and follow up on open issues.
  • Able to multi-task, including strong organizational skills.
  • Adapt to changing demands/reporting requirements.
  • Consistently able to meet pre-established deadlines.
  • Detail Orientated.
  • Specialized Working Conditions and % Travel:  (i.e.: hearing, vision, extreme temperatures)
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
