Executive Briefing Center Manager

 Duties: As our company and market opportunities continue to grow, we're investing in a world-class Executive Briefing Center (EBC) at our global headquarters in Redwood City, CA. To support this program and our sales team, we're looking for an experienced professional to join our team as EBC Manager.
The EBC Manager will join Equinix' s Global Events team, reporting to the Director of Global Events. The role is located onsite at Equinix headquarters in Redwood City, CA. In this role, you will partner with our sales teams to deliver an efficient, impactful, and positive meeting experience for our customers and partners.
 
Specific responsibilities include:
•             Overall Meeting Management: Gather and manage all pertinent details about EBC engagements, including information about the attendees, meeting objectives, etc.
•             Meeting Content Development Support: Partner with sales teams to develop presentation content based on the objectives of the meeting and desired outcomes for the customers/partners.
•             Speaker Recruitment and Scheduling: Proactively suggest, request and schedule executive speakers and subject matter experts to support the meeting objectives.
•             Meeting Logistics: Manage all logistical details associated with EBC meetings, including room scheduling, room set-up and support, catering, and other details as relevant to specific meetings.
•             Guest Management: Manage all logistical details associated with welcoming attendees, including check in, badging, security, etc.
•             Follow Up: Work with sales team to coordinate post-meeting follow up, including communications, deal tracking, etc.
•             Ongoing Operational Improvement: Design and deploy ongoing measurement plan to gauge effectiveness of the EBC program and identify areas for improvement.
•             General Event Support: As time allows, support additional Equinix events as part of the Global Events team.
 
Skills:    The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in events/meeting management as well as experience in content development and sales support. The ability to balance multiple details and projects simultaneously – while maintaining a polished and poised demeanor – is a must.
 
Specific qualifications include:
  • At least seven years of experience working in events/meetings management in a corporate environment, as part of an in-house events team or a supporting agency. Executive event experience is a plus.
  • Three-to-five-years' experience supporting event/meeting content development and speaker management.
  • Sales support experience, including a strong understanding of Enterprise IT sales processes, is a plus.
  • Experience operating within and navigate a highly matrixed organization is critical.
  • Strong presentation development skills, including Microsoft PPT. Basic graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal skills -- the ability to communicate clearly and professionally is critical to this role.
 
Education:         Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
