JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst 3 possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in the field of software quality assurance and testing as it relates to the business objectives of Client. This position will build, maintain and execute functional test, identify and analyze defects and ensure proper resolution of defects throughout the testing lifecycle. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst 3 is responsible for assisting the Manager and/or Sr. Manager by facilitating assigned activities including the coordination of resources for approved Projects, system improvements, and ad-hoc or emergency requests. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst 3 will maintain a strong understanding of the functional processes used by Client. An individual reaches this level by increasing contribution in technical expertise and/or people leadership by consistently acting as a team and project lead.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyzes and identifies system defects through functional, regression, and performance testing. Appropriately escalates these issues as defined by the processes
• Supports the testing environment and the testing lifecycle by ensuring the proper resolution of defects with the assistance of the IT support teams
• Assists with and supports the development and maintenance of a clear and concise statistical and metric-based reporting of testing progress including reports and dashboards
• Assists in integrating on-shore and off-shore code
• Serves as a role model in the areas of customer satisfaction and quality customer service within Client for Clients and other Client departments
• Builds and reinforces superior working relationships with Clients and other Client departments
• Supports after hours tasks as required by the Manager and/or Senior staff
• Builds, maintains, and executes functional tests using automation tools and reports results using defined process and resources
• Develops effective, maintainable code in a timely fashion
• Develops automated testing scripts and code modules for testing automation
• Follows established coding standards and techniques
• Participates in code reviews to ensure adherence to established coding and architectural standards
• Shows a strong attention to development detail, produces high-quality code

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Skills
• BA in Business or BS required
• 3 years experience required; 5+ years experience preferred
• 2 Years of hands on development of Automated tests
• 2-3 years testing SDLC management, or similar experience
• Specific Knowledge/experience in several of the following: Building Testing Scenarios from Requirements; Requirements Review; Reading and using Use Cases; Developing Test Scripts
• Proficiency in Release Management and Testing processes, required
• Experience reporting testing results in a clear, detailed, and analytical style using fact-based metrics
• Skill in diagnosing and solving complex problems and providing detailed technical analysis
• Expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database structures
• Strong knowledge of system integration
• Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of existing test scripts
• Proficient computer skills including common business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Word and Access
• Knowledge of theory and principles of project management
• Superior oral and written communication skills. Ability to exhibit a commanding presence when necessary.
• Proven Ability to work in a team environment, including geographically dispersed teams
• Exemplary track record for meeting deliverable targets, and taking part in successful releases
• Demonstrates self-motivation & initiative
• Ability to deliver results and service excellence
• Experience in working with Agile Methodologies
• 2 - 3 years' experience in automation testing using data-driven and object-oriented processes
• 1 - 2 years' experience developing software in an object-oriented language
• Experience in one of the following: Visual Basic Scripting, Software Development using OOD / OOP, Data-driven Automation Testing
· Experience with Selenium based Automation Frameworks
