Job Duties:
  • Participate in the designing, implementing, securing and maintaining of the computer systems for test, development and production environments
  • Identify and analyze issues that hamper the performance of the system, working in close coordination with the product development team recommending solutions for the issues
  • Perform supporting tasks that are included, but not limited to, code deployment, managing source control systems, virtual servers, and scripting
  • Account for and identify the discrepancies in the system, assess the risks, and implement solutions by adhering to the security standards
  • Write and modify scripts for application deployments as well as system monitoring
  • Develop and oversee the backup, replication, clustering and fail over strategies
  • Troubleshoot issues related to on-site networking, peripheral device networking, system health, data flow, application and system configurations
  • Work closely with customer IT personnel to resolve networking issues
  • Cross-functional coordination with electrical, hardware, and algorithm teams
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline preferred
  • Must have 2+ years’ experience with all of the following:
    • Linux servers in virtualized environments
    • Development and support of Linux Operating Systems
    • Development with Linux scripting languages
    • Installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Tomcat, Elasticsearch, nginx, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Linux system/kernel level functionality required
  • Ability to build and monitor services on production servers required
  • Must be familiar with load balancing and firewalls
Other REQUIRED Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience explaining and promoting complex technical projects to peers and superiors in sales, marketing and business development
  • Ability to effectively plan for and meet short and long-term deadlines
  • Able to excel in a highly collaborative environment with excellent consensus-building skills
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Other DESIRED Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience with and understanding of Power Over Ethernet
  • Broad knowledge of IP/TCP networking protocols
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack applications (e.g. Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Elasticsearch)
  • Experience building and maintaining package management systems (e.g. Redhat Package Manger [RPM] and/or Advanced Packaging Tool [APT])
  • Familiarity with maintaining and deploying Containerized Microservices
  • Experience employing Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Azure IaaS
