Primary Job Function:
Apply electrical engineering principles and general scientific knowledge to perform design tasks related to development of new products and sustainment of existing products.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and conducting small to medium-sized assigned projects requiring conventional types of plans, investigations, and/or equipment.
Collaborate in engineering team environment on large-sized projects and technical problems requiring unconventional techniques or innovation.
Independently execute assigned tasks by applying standard electrical engineering principles and techniques. Independently create/modify designs for intermediate problems, design/modify complex components and/or processes under supervision.
Write detailed design specifications and complete required design documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business practices.
Participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

Position Accountability/Scope:
Works under general supervision of more experienced engineers who review work output for overall accuracy, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment.
Identifies and quantifies technical risks and their consequences relative to the success of a project. Recommends appropriate action to achieve department/project objectives.
Drives functional performance to ensure that cross-functional and Quality System standards are met.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred, Associates Degree with 5+ years electrical design experience considered.

Minimum Experience/Training Required:
Technical competency and working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability and aptitude to use effectively use computer-aided design software applications related to electrical design (e.g. schematic capture, circuit simulation, printed circuit layout design, digital logic design)
