We produce an optical component for our AR new product development, mostly working on technology development to support scaling. This role will help the team purchase materials and equipment in support of our technology develop and prototype work. It will also help manage equipment through the procurement to installation lifecycle.

The skills therefore are the following:

Understanding procurement systems and generally the source to pay cycle in formal systems.
Having good program management skills and intuition
Ability to deal with ambiguity within our systems and challenges with siloed organizations. Have the ability to break through these barriers proactively to ensure stuff happens.
Good, proactive communication skills. Must keep stakeholders informed.
Curious and able to learn abstract concepts and systems. We operate in an R/D mode with not much formality in some areas so the individual must be a self-starter and not need to wait for instruction.

Job Responsibilities:
• Execute procurement activities from request to submission, trouble shoot procurement issues. Communicate status of such activity to requestors.
• Support logistics activity for material movement
• Support capital equipment procurement, installation and ongoing support
• Support development programs, statement of work development and background contract activities
• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals, supporting the development of such plans by engineering and technical program management and supporting the integration of technical activities.
• Contact vendor and suppliers to obtain information for quotes, to follow up on purchase orders and to track progress of deliveries. Report back to appropriate team members.
• Support engineering and research staff on small special projects which may included data gathering, data analysis and data organization

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and systems,
• Good knowledge of finance systems including accounts payable activities
• Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc. along with Google applications (Sheets), and cloud based storage tools (G-Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• PMI or PMP certification desired.
• Supply chain management certifications desired
