Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Position Description:
ATD is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to play a key role supporting the day-to-day operations of the sourcing team. The goal is to provide support to business units in conjunction with the Sourcing Managers to drive productivity savings and increase efficiency and effectiveness for ATD companies and support third party relationships. Responsibilities of the Sourcing Analyst are diverse allowing them to learn all aspects of strategic sourcing, including how to lead sourcing initiatives.
The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented with the ability to analyze a dataset to identify trends, patterns and potential areas of improvement. There should be a strong interest in learning about the sourcing process and a willingness to solve difficult problems within a fast-paced environment. A professional with a communication style that can adjust to people at various levels within the organization and the ability to convey complex information in a way that is easily understood by the receiving audience. This person would be comfortable handling multiple projects across various business lines and is able to utilize programs like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to provide updates to key stakeholders.
ATD believes strongly in career development and offers industry standard training and certifications to help build a better baseline knowledge of sourcing. This position will function in a hybrid work environment with some flexible days in-office and remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supports all aspects of ATD's sourcing processes including tactical/transactional opportunities, strategic eRFx's, three bids and a buy, sales orders, SOWs, etc. as assigned
  • Draft and review agreements and contract amendments
  • Analyze information supplied by Subject Matter Experts (SME) or other internal stakeholders, and translate into detailed requirements and competitive bid specifications
  • Provide status updates, at key event milestones, to ensure stakeholders are well informed
  • Conduct post event analyses, including price/cost analysis, service level analysis, and other category specific analytics as required
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure mutually agreed terms and conditions are incorporated into final contract and executed by appropriate ATD signatory Ensure adequate contract compliance measures are incorporated into transacting model through close coordination with Sourcing Manager
  • Provides analytical data and information to support sourcing initiatives
  • Performs market research to identify potential suppliers
  • Provides analytics to aid in contract negotiations
  • Support sourcing managers to perform spend analysis for key categories
  • Work on special projects as requested by management; supports all levels of department management and may participate on specific workgroups as requested.
Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:
Education :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
Experience :
  • 2 years general business experience ideally in an environment that requires working on large projects and collaborating with cross functional teams
  • 2 years of Project management or equivalent experience managing large complex projects
  • Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects

Additional Qualifications preferred
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting and communications skills, both oral and written with the ability to articulate factors of complex situations
  • Ability to balance deadlines of day-to-day tasks, projects, and interruptions due to urgent or time sensitive issues
  • Ability to track and follow up on issues using multiple communication streams – phone calls/voicemail, Teams chat, emails, and electronic data, etc.
