Marketing Specialist

 Overview of position
The resource will be responsible for developing and organizing creative content in a way that can be easily leveraged in a consistent way across multiple channels. The role primarily focuses on updating and or developing content for B2B and B2C audiences to support retention, customer experience and customer acquisition. Content channels may include presentations, guides, flyers, web pages, email communications, direct mail, forms and more.
  • Write engaging content that guides customers in preparing for a healthy financial future.
  • Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content accuracy.
  • Make copy updates to existing marketing collateral as internal and external changes dictate.
  • Create presentations and webinars to support current/ prospective customers and partners.
  • Write communications to customers to explain account changes.
  • Develop and update operational forms.
  • Ensure content aligns with personas, and brand platform with clear call to action.
  • Follow assignments through all stages of development, review, approvals and uploading to marketing asset management portal.
  • Work with designer, writers, strategist, project managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Carefully proofread and edit all creative content for brand and tone. Follow company style guide and AP style. 
  • Learn our business and our customers and take the initiative to identify new engagement strategies that fit within our objectives.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability. Handles day-to-day challenges confidently and willing to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
This is an individual contributor role reporting into the AVP, Creative Content Supervisor.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business or Communications or relevant field
  • A minimum of three years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar.
  • Strong grasp of the English language and grammar rules, knowledge of AP style standards.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Workfront and Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred, but not required.
  • Financial and/or healthcare background is preferred, but not required.
