Sourcing Manager

The Role & Responsibilities:

The Sourcing Manager in this role will perform the following responsibilities:
• Manage a global pipeline of sourcing projects and their related services
• Build and maintain relationships with Business Units and Technology stakeholders, advising on sourcing options and strategies
• Solicit competitive bids from multiple suppliers using our "procure to pay” tool, Ariba
• Lead and support with vendor selection; contract negotiations and drafting vendor contracts, working closely with Legal and Business Unit and Technology stakeholders to define scope and requirements
• Collaborate with global colleagues to ensure specific regional requirements and limitations are incorporated into sourcing projects and contracts
• Develop and implement RFI/RFP/RFQ's including E-Auctions/Reverse Auctions via Ariba
• Support strategic projects that leverage global vendor relationships across the firm for cost advantage and quality transactions from a shareholder perspective




Qualifications:

• Understanding and experience in sourcing including ecommerce, sourcing strategies and solid knowledge of system technology
• Experience and Knowledge of Mainframe Hardware and Software Sourcing as the core requirement for this role. This individual will also assist in distributed Compute/Storage environments including servers, storage, desktop, and associated break/fix services:
• Excellent relationship management skills to build trusted relationships
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Able to develop category plans and account plans
• Broad Procurement Proficiency
• Knowledge of the key aspects of IT legal contracts including metrics and service level agreements
• Self-starter
• Collaborator and Team player
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Strong IT Sourcing background
• Strong knowledge and understanding of sourcing options and their strengths and weaknesses
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong knowledge of the vendor marketplace
• Strong knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office products (Specifically Excel & PowerPoint)
• Attention to detail
• Ideally 5 -10 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree
