Overall Description

The Global Operations Learning Org (GOLO) is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with cross-functional project management experience in Learning and Development. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple, complicated, and fast-paced learning projects and initiatives in a global setting. He/She will be a natural communicator with the capability to share project status, flag risks timely, provide mitigation plans, and share qualitative / quantitative data with all stakeholders, project teams, and cross functional partners. The ideal candidate will also be able to drive alignment and clarity across often competing priorities. This candidate should have familiarity with and/or be willing to work on both technology-related projects and learning projects.


  • Develop and implement project management templates, processes and best practices using agile and other project management methodologies
  • Ability to organizes project team's work into manageable sections using the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Ability to influence project teams and ensure work gets done
  • Manage end-to-end learning projects (technical and non-technical) from project initiation to project close
  • Define clear project scope, goals, deliverables and success metrics
  • Define milestones and resources required for the each project
  • Coordinate and communicate with the project team regularly and maintain full transparency
  • Create schedule and project timelines for all projects
  • Track progress of deliverables and help achieve milestones
  • Ensure project teams are adhering to the process and delivering on time
  • Identify any risks and develop a mitigation plan using an issue log
  • Lead meetings and set the right expectations for project teams
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders and XFNs
  • Escalate any red flags timely with project team, stakeholders, and XFNs
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs and support business goals
  • Evaluate and assess results of project post completion
  • Capture lessons learned and share with project teams
  • Provide regular project status updates to GOLO Leadership and Team
  • Ability to move fast and ensure speed to market when it comes to delivering our projects
  • Ability to work on a global team and manage different time zones.
  • Capacity planning and resource planning
  • Help with benchmarking and building standard operating models
  • Help set-up and running a PMO
  • Coaching other PMs

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in Learning and Development
  • Experience with data visualization and project tools such Asana, MS projects, etc.
  • Experience with collaboration tools like G-suite, Quip, Office 365, etc.
  • Experience implementing project management standards and methodology
  • Ability to effectively communicate/present complex information to a variety of audiences and engage and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, growing and changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience managing technology and learning initiatives
  • PMP certification or PRINCE2 certification
  • Six Sigma and Lean certification
