Medical Records Representative - BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED* 
Location: Nashville, TN (Locally Remote)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm CST
Start: 9/28/2020
Pay: $18.00 - $21.59 an hour, paid every Friday
This position is responsible for faxing, verifying, reviewing, documenting and processing HEDIS medical records and invoices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fax and/or mail HEDIS medical record requests and update status in workflow software
  • Provide initial quality review on returned medical records and invoices ensuring that the information is legible and contains customer identifying information, such as name and date of birth
  • Sort, scan and distribute incoming records and invoices to the proper work area in the workflow
  • Process incoming records and invoices to the proper work flow – HEDIS folders and software
  • Entering measure specific or testing information to a database
  • Contact provider offices for additional missing information (W9, payment address, etc.)
  • Maintain a daily production sheet
  • Track and maintain an organized filing system for medical records and invoices
  • Maintain confidentiality of copied/received medical records and invoices while being compliant with federal (HIPPA and PHI) and local requirements in accordance with the *** HealthCare office.
  • Reliable internet service required
  • Intermediate level knowledge of medical records and terminology
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and varied file formats
  • Prior experience in Window based software programs, databases and shared drives
  • Skilled in use of basic office equipment (i.e., fax, photocopying equipment, printer, etc.)
  • General understanding of healthcare privacy regulations is desirable; training will be provided
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on time sensitive projects
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, be focused, highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Must possess professional attributes such as: reliable, team player, flexible, productive, accurate, well–organized, good oral/written communication, excellent listening and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor's degree required for new candidates
  • Prior experience with working with medical records and invoices preferred
