Contact Tracing Specialist Job Description

Overview

The Contact Tracing Specialist will work remotely to connect with employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 and identify who else they have had contact with internally within the organiation. Contact tracing is critical in stopping the spread of COVID-19. The ideal candidate exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to show empathy, and strong data management skills. This role will be primarily responsible for executing the contact tracing process and relevant transactions to support the program that is run by the [US/APAC/EMEA] People Operations Partner team.

Duties

  • Reach out to employees who are newly diagnosed with COVID-19
  • Communicate with employees professionally and empathetically in an investigative yet engaging conversation while following a script but flexing to incorporate personal touches according to employees' needs
  • Provide consultation and distribute approved information critical to preventing further contact aligned with current policies in working remotely
  • Analyze information during the intake process and translate to risk assessment
  • Regularly report out on data analyses and findings to program team

  • Experience investigating situations with active listening skills and gathering/tracking supporting data and information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to maintain professional communication during a time of crisis and distress
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Strong skills in analyzing and synthesizing data to create and present analyses to program team members; experience driving analytics and reporting
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task within demanding timeframes
  • Ability to work independently and require little instruction on day-to-day work
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally in a case-by-case basis
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Excel, HRIS, CRM)
  • English (speak, write, read)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Care, HR, or other Consultative focus
  • 2+ years of related experience
