Contract Length: 5+ Months (Potential for Extension or Full Time Conversion)
Location: Reporting to Nashville, TN (Open to fully remote)
Pay: Based On Experience

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of a project development cycle
  • Serves as System Analyst/Data Modeler as part of an Agile team or teams
  • Designs to build and prioritize the product backlog for sprint teams
  • Works with sprint teams on a daily basis in providing inputs on user stories and removing road blocks
  • Provides leadership for scrum meetings, backlog grooming, sprint planning and sprint demos
  • Acts as an expert resource to client and development management and staff in all phases of the development and implementation process
  • Reviews in-depth tests and quality assurance checks on data and reports on an ongoing basis
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience within Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
  • Familiarity with Healthcare industry domains
  • Self-driven and able to function with minimal direction from Manager
  • Expert in Agile Methodology and previous experience as a product owner for Agile teams
  • Familiarity with the following technology:
    • Teradata, ETL and batch processing
    • API gateway builds with REST APIs
    • JAVA Micro services
    • Real time data streaming services such as Kafka
    • NoSQL database technology such as MongoDB, Cassandra
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to be innovative and creative with solutions that frequently involve multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools
  • Experience with Medicare / Medicaid including Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplemental benefits
  • Familiarity with the following technology: Cloud platforms such as AWS and Hadoop
This role will be measured by how well the organization understands and adopts the changes being rolled out in the value driven structure and has four major components:

1) Learn business processes and translate business needs and problem statements into solutions. This includes gathering and analyzing requirements and data in support of business cases, proposed innovations, requested features, and reported defects.

2) Collaborate with IT delivery and support teams to ensure delivery of solutions. This includes coordination of deliverables as well as navigating and following IT processes such as change control and documentation standards. This also requires an understanding of funding mechanisms across portfolio and baseline efforts.

3) Collaborate with product management, data discovery lab team members, vendors, and business partners to prioritize backlog items and gather business value information for delivered solutions.

4) Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Data Management Strategy & Governance assignments/projects. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Data Management Strategy & Governance but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
