Position: Document Control Specialist
Location: Seattle, WA
Pay: $40.00
Contract: 7/31/2020-7/29/2022  (possible extension)
Duties:
  • Create, review and revise documentation procedure and trainings according to standard operating procedures.
  • Read/ Comprehend technical standard operating procedures and assist writing scripts for training development based on the standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and track documentation for the Environmental Health and Safety team.
  • Implement document control policies and procedures and perform periodic review of project files.
  • Apply principles of continuous improvement to documentation processes.
  • Provide support and respond to user inquiries.
  • Identify essential documentation concerns, discrepancies and ensure consistent formatting between documents.
  • Confirm and track training as it relates to controlled document release processes are completed by required personnel.
  • Manage the flow of documents in and out of document storage.
  • Assist in enhancement and maintenance of the AR/VR EHS training matrix to ensure proper training assignments to staff for all EHS programs and procedures.
  • Assist in the maintenance EHS document control matrix.
Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 360, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Dropbox.
  • Strong understanding of working in a database environment.
  • Team player with a positive can-do attitude, who is flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced company environment.
  • Must be highly organized and possess a high degree attention to detail.
  • Communication and interpersonal experience for all audience levels. Experience interacting with employees at all levels in a team environment.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle numerous workstreams.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to learn new software, tools and workflows quickly.
     
Bachelor’s degree (Journalism or English preferred) from an accredited college or university. Will consider current student on a path to graduate with the right background and experience.
