Automation System Administrator III

· Completion of all applicable training requirements required to support project activities
· Working knowledge and subject matter expert for POMS MES system
· Exceptional skills, strong knowledge and experience in the following:
o Hardware/server support, maintenance and upgrade
o Windows Server administration including management of Domains, Active Directory and Group Policies
o Blade servers and virtualized server environments including VMWare
o Storage devices (SAN & NAS)
o Networking fundamentals
o Scripting to automate routine systems administration tasks
o Ability to develop innovations that solve difficult technical problems
o Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), influence and lead both with and without authority, as well as strong analytical skills, planning and organizational skills
o Be able to identify problems, define problem statement clearly and accurately and apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify data-driven root causes
o Capable of working independently, effective at managing multiple tasks and projects, flexible and able to adapt quickly to new and changing situations
· Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS), Building Automation Systems (Client), PLC, SCADA, PI, MES is a plus
· Knowledge of Batch manufacturing concepts (S88, recipes, phases etc.) and OPC communication protocols
· Working knowledge of Automation/Control Systems preferred (Client, POMS, Emerson DeltaV/Syncade, Rockwell, Wonderware)
· Experience preparing a variety of automation engineering project documentation, including business and functional requirements, design specifications, test protocols, and technical support documentation
· Ability to work independently, organize and manage individual as well as lead larger scale projects

Six to Seven years’ experience in Automation systems in GMP manufacturing environments
Strong proficiency in system installation and troubleshooting principles and techniques, and demonstrated ability in successfully applying that knowledge.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with technical, operations, manufacturing, quality and engineering personnel as well as project personnel leadership.

Bachelor’s degree (Life Science, Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry) or equivalent system administrator/GMP job experience.
