Our Lab Operations team is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as an Equipment Coordinator. Your job will be to support a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers. You will be the liaison between end-users in the technical spaces to support technical equipment planning and execution. All updates for changes need to be communicated accurately and in a timely manner. The coordinator needs to be experienced in process development, optimization, coordination, and project management.

  • Create, standardize, and refine Standard Operating Procedures for equipment moves
  • Contact vendors and understand all the variables for pre and post-moves for all pieces of new and existing equipment
  • Schedule and phase out decommissioning on equipment within technical research and manufacturing spaces to minimize downtime on research, development, and testing
  • Create a plan and schedule for each piece of equipment and keep cross-functional partners informed including Facilities and Workplace Planning teams
  • Manage external vendors for equipment calibrations and trainings, if applicable
  • Work with Facilities and Workplace Planning to ensure equipment manufacturer's custom crates or custom packaging is received per schedule
  • Partner with Health & Safety to identify all chemicals that need to be relocated
  • Identify and confirm, with stakeholders, if additional items need to be moved, stored temporarily, or purged such as furniture, IT equipment, etc.
  • Be the liaison between Workplace Planning, Facilities Project Management and cross-functional partners in regard to timelines and schedules

  • 3+ years' experience in coordination and project management support within a technical research or technical manufacturing space
  • 3+ years' experience in equipment installation, decommissioning, calibrations, and logistics
  • Experience working with a team and working independently
  • Experience in providing solutions for complex projects
  • Experience with setting schedules and managing vendors
  • Communication experience to facilitate the work of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven track record of having a sense of urgency and being a problem solver
  • Experience in creating, tracking and organizing documentation and technical standards
