Data Support Specialist
Tailored Management is seeking a Data Support Specialist to work onsite at our client's Menlo Park, CA campus on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join the world's largest social media network who enables over a billion users to openly connect with friends and family, share content, and explore the world.

Contract Length: 1 Year
Location: Menlo Park, CA

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to questions and support requests from client engineers.
  • Follow internally developed support processes and workflows
  • Communicate and escalate issues to the proper engineering teams or owners for resolution
  • Use data tools to investigate problems and correlate them to release events or code rollouts
  • Extract relevant information from log files and other sources to identify owners or root causes
  • Apply basic debugging tools and techniques to clarify issues and add relevant information for owners
  • Write basic tools and test cases to improve the speed and quality of support
  • Effectively communicate resolutions and workarounds to engineers and management
  • Document support based on accumulated experience (FAQ, support scripts)
  • Identify and surface recurring questions and issues to the team


Skills and Qualifications:
Required-
  • Graduation from a coding academy or equivalent experience
  • Professional experience in customer service, help desk, support or other technical roles
  • Basic fluency in Python and data visualization, familiarity with basic development tools
  • Advanced experience in SQL, data querying and data analysis.
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze and resolve or troubleshoot issues and distill into clear and concise communications
  • Support a rotating engineering on-call support schedule
Preferred-
  • Associates or technical degree
  • Interest in building experience and knowledge for a full-time software development or data engineer role
  • Graduation from a coding academy or equivalent experience
