SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Location: 185 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT
Duration: 5 months
Pay rate: $20 per hour

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Provide administrative support for a department or group of professionals.
  • Providing word processing support; running reports; creating high-quality reports; presentations, and other documents.
  • Must be an Excel and PowerPoint superuser; able to create and utilize pivot tables in Excel and import photos and graphs into PowerPoint.
  • Providing telephone support, responding to routine questions, screening calls, taking accurate messages and rerouting calls when appropriate
  • Coordinating meetings including using WebEx and smartboards.
  • Making travel arrangements;
  • Ordering office supplies;
  • Assisting with maintenance requests;
  • Processing invoices;
  • Processing expense reports;
  • Grabbing and delivering mail.
  • Some filing and other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in administrative support or a similar position.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Will demonstrate enthusiasm, aptitude, organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well with others and must have good time management skills.
  • Very strong knowledge of excel (MUST know pivot tables and able sort data)
  • Ability to work in PowerPoint importing photos and graphs.
  • Working in a bank would be a plus but not necessary.

Support an individual or a team in terms of general office duties such as monitoring and ordering standard office supplies; collating and assembling documents; accepting and delivering interoffice correspondence and reports. May also attend meetings and take and distribute minutes; schedule appointments and maintain supervisor's calendars; screen calls and visitors and make travel arrangements. Will defer all significant decision making to management. Technical skills may include the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and/or other proprietary software as specific administrative tasks require.
