Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM EST 
Contract Length: 01/22/2019 to 05/08/2019 (possible extension based on attendance and performance)

Overview:
  • The Medical Administrative Representative works under the direction of the Quality Clinical Management Lead Analyst and other Cigna personnel.
  • The position includes significant medical record document(s) management and data entry. 
  • Expert knowledge of medical record documents and file organization a must. 
  • The position requires strong communication, computer and clerical skills. 
  • Daily activities includes receipt of medical records and invoices, download of document(s) from secure file transfer portals, strict adherence to data entry conventions, invoice processing, and location demographics electronically. 
  • Other daily activities include the ability to manage large amounts of data electronically, file documents in electronic filing software, faxing, scanning, and abstracting documents from electronic storage devices. 
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, and Word) required. 
  • Previous call center experience preferred.
The candidate will possess:
  • Strong computer skills, (e.g., Data entry, Microsoft Word and Outlook, Excel, PDF, Skype, Outlook)
  • Must be comfortable using multiple computer systems including working with dual monitors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be able to perform internet research and research using Cigna proprietary software systems
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have knowledge of medical terminology and medical chart organization
  • Must demonstrate tenacity to obtain and manage medical records
  • Must be a quick learner, who can demonstrate the ability to follow multi-step instructions, be a problem solver, and adhere to department protocols
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment
Education:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency.
  • Ability to pass 7-year background check and urine drug screen.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, and Word) required.
  • Previous call center experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant or Clinical Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
