Role Value Proposition: 
The associate will be a critical member of the Investments IT Global Strategy and Planning team supporting IT Risk and Compliance for a portfolio of $100M+ and 80+ applications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand technology risk compliance process, communicate developer control procedures, and drive compliance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of customer service, who finds the MetLife culture compelling and will readily assimilate into the environment. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Be the liaison between global Investments IT Risk Function and Investments technology delivery teams
  • Build, socialize, maintain risk compliance playbook for a developer audience
  • Drive advancement of technology risk practices such as mapping our standard development practices back to internal risk policy with the goal of increasing developer understanding of internal controls
  • Advance DevSecOps risk practice aligned with organization’s new technology maturity
  • Drive enforcement and monitor technology team risk compliance practices
  • Be able to assess impact of risk and security control breaks/deficiencies on Investment platforms
  • Coordinate operational activity including risk assessments, risk findings, disaster recovery compliance, and associated line of business reporting
  • Coordinate the status of issues and deliverables and drive open items to timely resolution
  • Stay informed of industry and MetLife internal security/control requirements and global regulatory changes affecting Investments IT
  • Become an SME on MetLife IT Risk policies as related to application build and delivery process
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Ability to liaise with application project managers and developers including excellent verbal and written communication
  • 5+ Years of experience working in an IT Risk function within a financial services firm
  • S/he will have excellent interpersonal and be adept at establishing credibility and building relationships
  • Essential that the candidate be accountable, highly organized and constantly looking for improvement opportunities
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy
  • Knowledge of software tools such as OpenPages and Archer (or related tools)
