Assoc Paralegal

Location: South San Francisco, California
This job contract is being created for a data cleanup project and to help provide additional staffing support during a peak period of demand for our team. We expect a 3 to 6 month period for this position. In addition to the data cleanup project, below are duties required of this position when not working on the data cleanup project.

Duties:
  • This person will be tasked with a wide range of entry level paralegal duties.
  • Handling, organization and tracking of paper documents and boxes of same
  • Review of paper or electronic documents for a provided content
  • Organization and tracking of electronic devices or relateed materials which are subject to legal holds
  • Learning company database systems to find and retrieve requested materials
  • Responding to requests of company attorneys or paralegals for assistance on case-related projects, research, or any variety of assistance needed.
  • Basic clerical duties may be requested.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to focus on projects assigned and work efficiently, present questions and findings clearly and briefly to project leader, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor. Instruction, training and supervision will be provided by staff, but the ability to work efficiently is a must.
  • Must also be able to work in a team environment, interact with others in a professional and productive manner, and have a collaborative approach to work projects
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Paralegal experience and/or document review experience helpful but not required.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs.

NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE EMPLOYEE TO BE APPROVED TO DRIVE A COMPANY VEHICLE ON OUR SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CAMPUS AS PART OF THE JOB DUTIES IN ADDITION TO THOSE LISTED BELOW. CURRENT AND CLEAN CA DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED.
