We are currently seeking an experienced Merchandising Project Manager to drive operations centered on social media Marketplace commerce efforts. This person will own the curated launches and optimization of the storefront, elevating the experience across our customer base by inspiring users to explore and interact with the merchandise offered. He/she is a tool savvy, analytical powerhouse, who loves creating processes and working cross-functionally across our organization. This person should have a passion for consumer and tech products in general and should demonstrate a strong ability to lead the merchandising vision for our extensive product offering.
Title: Merchandising Project Manager
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Project Duration: 6-month contract with the opportunity of extension!
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr.

  • The driver of the Marketplace storefront, curating the consumer experience through merchandise to inspire discovery of the product offering and driving operational process for Merchandised Deals in collaboration with Strategic Partner Manager and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Plan and manage the merchandising of weekly promotions and seasonal campaigns across categories.
  • Coordinate merchandising launches across different customer segments and experience types. Identify opportunities to influence the product experience, cross-sell strategy and visual merchandising.
  • Be a go-to partner with the teams building Shopping on Facebook, influencing product roadmap for merchandising tools and integrations with external partners.
  • Act as a liaison between Partner Managers, Product team and external Merchants/Brands to the operations of Deals Promotions on Marketplace.
  • Ensure item level SKUs meet listing quality & pricing integrity standards. Coordinate item level updates and troubleshoot errors across internal XFN teams and with external partner teams. Have strong follow-through and professional communication skills to translate Marketplace Commerce policies & merchandising needs an ongoing basis.
  • Implement merchandising best practices and react to real-time signals to improve interactions and quality of the product.
  • Have an understanding of retail math, pricing & promotional principles, site engagement metrics and A/B testing fundamentals, to drive eCommerce merchandising conclusions and understand performance measures.
  • Partner collaboratively with internal marketing partners to ensure merchandising campaigns and deals are communicated accurately across e-commerce marketing channels (email, affiliates..) and with support to the seasonal retail calendar of events and product lifecycles.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand business priorities, user feedback, and market trends to understand and report on performance and identify opportunities, including gathering competitive intelligence
  • Track performance of deals and f necessary replace deals by better performing products or ensure additional supply.
  • When necessary, enter, track and facilitate the reconciliation of inventory subsidies.
  • BS or BA degree
  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • 5-8+ years related experience in an eCommerce, Site Merchandising or Site Management role, focusing on multiple verticals
  • Knowledge of best practices in site merchandising & tool savvy
  • Expertise working in a customer-focused e-commerce environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including merchants/vendors, marketing, design, product, and engineering teams
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to present to and influence large groups
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to solve difficult problems that span customer facing, strategy, and operations.
