Business Intelligence Analyst

One of our leading clients in the Biotechnology industry is seeking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to support the head of Talent Acquisition (TA) to consult and advise on metrics, trends, and "the why”. Create and maintain reports and automated dashboards using SQL queries and dashboarding frameworks. Support ad hoc requests of various data sources. Apply technical and analytical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of developing reporting, metrics, and dashboards. Validate the consistency and integrity of data, merge data sources together, and help others gain better comprehension of data. Develop daily and ad hoc operational reports and dashboards using SQL and plotly.
 
Job Duties:
  • Develop a churn metric and create an automated dashboard in plotly that is self-service for TA
  • Develop an automated Quarterly Business Review dashboard in plotly (refine metrics, identify data sources, establish dashboard, permission)
  • Create and manage Glassdoor dashboards
  • Run and analyze results from various surveys (Awards programs, Hiring Manager survey, etc.)
  • Develop a system to report data quality inconsistencies to the Talent Acquisition operations team.
  • Evaluates risk, culls data and statistical information to evaluate performance on investments, programs, trends and practices, to inform business decisions.
  • Life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities, process and design.  Leverage understanding to develop analysis and reporting capabilities to identify process and program improvements.
  • Create and align standard definitions and structure to generate useful business reports that are standardized and automated for ongoing usage
  • Use data to create models that depict trends in Recruitment data
  • Interpret data, analyze results, interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, to derive meaning in the Recruitment data to problem solve
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources, and align reports for internal Recruitment data
  • Locate and define new process improvements, to resolve data discrepancies and data quality for the long-term
  • Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence team with external marketplace data, for analysis and metrics on full employment lifecycle.
  • Connection with Talent Acquisition team, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Operations, People Analytics, HR Shared Service Center
 
Required Skills:
  • 3 years of experience with writing SQL at a proficient level
  • 3 years of experience with databases or software development
  • 2 years of experience with designing databases, dashboards, metrics, and reports
  • 2 years of experience with Excel
  • BA or BS degree
  • Experience with Equivalent Languages: SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB
  • Experience with Plotly and github desirable
  • Experience with the Equivalent Tools: Tableau, Plotly, Excel, Workday
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with various levels of management
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in gathering user requirements, data analysis, business-process analysis, utilizing a variety of reporting tools, and great visual design sense.
  • Fully understands the structure of data stored in the enterprise data and ad-hoc external sources such as surveys or social media.
