Seeking a seasoned Project Manager / Business Analyst to lead quality solutions projects in the US Group Claims department of one of the largest global providers of insurance, annuitites and employee benefit programs.This organization has over 90 million customers worldwide in over 60 countries, and is headquartered in the heart of New York!

Title: Business Analyst - Advanced
Location: Oriskany, NY
Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday (Full Time, 40/week)
Hourly Rate: $37/hour
Timeline: 09/04 - 12 month contract with potential for extension based on performance and additional project capabilities

Required Experience: 
  • 3-6 years of experience leading project teams in full-cyle project management
  • Experience leading multiple projects at one time
  • Understanding and experience in development of project charters, plans, timelines, deliverables
  • Strong presentation skills and experience using PowerPoint
  • Technical capbilities with MS Project, WebEx, Skype, and Office 365 programs
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or complementary years of experience
  • PMP Certification preferred!
This person will have to develop project charters and project plans with timelines and milestone deliverables, identify stakeholders, conduct discovery, analyze data, prepare detailed presentations to various stakeholders, facilitate progress through assigned resources and deliver on the agreed goals.

This individual will work with the claims team in Oriskany, while supporting other locations of the organization. This individual will lead 2-3 transformation projects in claims. 
  • Project 1: Program development to drive a high level of learning around medical conditions, treatment, complications and their relationship to functional impairments (medical knowledge),
  • Project 2: Redesign claim management routines and protocols relating to performance management, incorporating the optimal balance of KPIs to achieve the strategic claims business goals,
  • Project 3: Establish ways to interact with our employer customers to help them understand and leverage the benefits of all their policy provisions to get their disabled folks back to work where possible.
Additional Required Skills:
1. Self-starter, works well independently, works from home primarily but can travel 25% of the time
2. Project/transformation leadership experience, great persistence and discipline in execution
3. Analysis and presentation skills – all the usual software like office 365, MS Project, webex and skype
4. Has experience with large claim organizations and disability experience would be very helpful
5. Superior communication skills – written and oral. Can create a compelling vision
