Job Description: Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required and 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Job Title:
Bilingual (Japanese/English) Project Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing a large-scale project with teams in Japan, and coordinating, facilitating project related activities between teams in US and Japan. A candidate in this position is also responsible for helping various US-based teams analyze and understand project information, content and documentation by interpreting, translating and communicating the content and information written or spoken in Japanese into English. Responsible for communicating verbally or written communication in the form of emails, documentation, notes from English into Japanese. Proof reading Japanese and English content and documents to help the team identify discrepancies. Help improve communication between US and Japan teams. Participating in and facilitating discussions, conversations, meetings and sessions with Japanese team members. Candidate must have experience working with offshore teams.

Responsibilities:
Manage a well-defined portion of the project involving planning, coordinating, facilitating project related work and activities including communication with stakeholders and management in both US and Japan. Analyze information written or spoken in Japanese and translate or interpret it from Japanese to English and vice-versa and be able to communicate and document the translation or interpretation well. Communicate in Japanese fluently and be able to switch context from Japanese to English and vice-versa seamlessly. Experienced in writing, composing official emails and documentation in Japanese.

Skills:
PMP or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience as a PM in a bilingual capacity.
Expert in following English & Japanese skills (communication, comprehension, listening, expression, speaking, intonation, vocabulary, Keigo)
