Job purpose
The recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of candidates by using creative sourcing methods.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partners with Client Partners to determine staffing needs.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments & reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develops advertising programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Follows up with candidates to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with external candidates to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
