Lab Tech - Quality Operations Incoming Material Inspector

Job Description:
  • Perform incoming inspection testing for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, intermediates, and finished kits as required to meet Operations goals and objectives with direction as appropriate.
  • Testing of the materials including all data entry within the allotted Turn Around Times with focus on document returns, error rates, and human error.
  • Receipt and maintenance of retain samples.
  • Entry of data into trends and evaluation of trends within the allotted Turn Around Times where applicable.
  • Able to interpret data based on data and analysis and make decisions with collaboration with supervisor.
  • Awareness and compliance to cGMP, GLP, GDP and other regulations.
  • When necessary, escalating non-compliance to these regulations.
  • Participating in laboratory maintenance including routine cleaning, instrument maintenance and maintaining laboratories in audit ready condition.
  • Participating in New Product Transfer and Method Development activities, where applicable.
  • Complete all required training in learning solution and/or as specified by your manager on time to remain compliant.
  • This includes managing both GMP and competency/skill code training.
  • Additional training should be performed as required by business need and/or individual development.
  • Ability to work day-to-day with supervision to correctly complete daily scheduled and unscheduled testing related activities.
  • When issues arise, to collaborate with supervisor to develop solutions.
  • Decision making with collaboration from supervisor is required.
  • Decisions do not negatively impact service, quality, or finances; ensures that mindfulness to service, quality and finances goes into decision making process even in an ambiguous situation.
  • Participate and implements process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Focuses on activities that provide the most value with direction from supervisor.

  • Ability to use personal computer with basic word-processing and spreadsheet applications. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills highly desirable.
  • 0-2 Years General Laboratory experience.
  • Basic GMP Knowledge.
  • Quality Control experience preferred.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • Required: Associate Degree and equivalent combination of education and work experience.
